What a wonderful book!

I have loved sharing this story with children in my school. It is so moving and teaches about courage, hope and the importance of belonging. The illustrations are beautiful and the story uses wonderful imagery to explain difficult concepts. It was especially poignant to see photos of children at the end of the book who have had to make similar journeys to find safety. I highly recommend this book.

A meaningful story beautifully told

A story for the age we are in. This story is emotional, honest and beautiful. Whilst primarily a children’s book, adults can learn just as much from this beautifully written piece.

It is a five star review from me!

This book is so meaningful and I have not seen a book in school like this before. It really stands out and tells a story I have never seen in a children's book before and it shows that everyone can have there happy ending even after an experience like that.
I truly admire the author's writing and how she put this complex story that into words.
It is a five star review from me!

We truly loved how you brought to life the story of this little girl and her family, the hardships they face while fleeing war and destruction in search of a better future.
It’s a beautifully written poem that children and families will definitely enjoy, as it sparks their imagination and emotions.
