Lovely story

I finished reading this children’s book with tears streaming down my face.

I could relate completely to the sentiments and feelings beautifully expressed in this book.

My own kids have struggled similarly to the main character.

The message the book leaves the reader with is not only beautiful, but sooo important for all of us to learn if we want to coexist peacefully and lovingly in this world. ❤️

What a thoughtful and thought provoking book, all at a child’s level. Made From the Same Dough is a beautiful story, with an endearing main character who grows through the story. We will be reading this over and over.

My children were excited to read the books we ordered, and this one was one of their first pics due to the colorful cover and engaging title. They were really fascinated with the characters and identified with the main character's feelings. I had heard already about the summary of the story, so I wasn't surprised by the twist, but it was really adorable seeing their reactions to it and how they felt about the situation after that. I loved this story so much and the effect it had and the conversation that me and my kids were able to have smoothly because of it.

My oldest child is just starting to enter the age about feeling shame among his peers, so the angle of imagining the embarrassment of a family member's Christmas-celebrating was like... something he could really identify with. He was even chuckling over some of the imagined mockery in the story. And I could tell that he had a warm and good feeling by the end, from seeing his smile. Really a wonderful book.

Salam! I am also a convert and love the concept of the book. Adults and kids alike will find it easy to understand the deeper meanings while still being an easy and fun book to read. Recommend for non-Muslim families of converts as well as children of those of us who have converted. Alhamdulillah!!
